Born in Redwood City, California, Jeff's family
moved frequently around the country. Jeff's love of music began at the tender age of 6, teaching
himself how to play the piano. By his 9th birthday, he received his first guitar and Jeff's natural
gifts took over....learning folk-rock tunes and also song writing. Jeff performed as a solo artist
and in various rock, folk, gospel and bluegrass bands through-out his teens, traveling around the
country and even abroad. By age 18 , Jeff picked up the electric guitar, and immersed himself in a
variety of styles from rock to blues, jazz to country, and even experimental music. Later he increased
his musical versatility when he added bass guitar and saxophone to his growing list of instruments
played. He went on to perform and record in a number of bands including Sincere Fibers, Color Factory,
D.I., Highway, Too Many Bongos (sponsored by the Orange County Philharmonic Society) and The L. A.
Allstars and has done music for both film and television.
Jeff furthered his education studying advanced
electronic music at Saddleback Community College, and music theory at Orange Coast Community College He
then began teaching keyboards, guitar, bass guitar and saxophone professionally in 1989 and still
continues instructing his many students. Jeff recently recorded a solo CD, a commissioned recording
project called "Sabina,"which is a loving tribute to Mazatek shaman, Maria Sabina. This is an all original
instrumental CD on which he performs keyboards, guitar, bass, saxophone and percussion.
Jeff continues to compose, produce and record music
for hire for various industry clientele, artists and songwriters at his studio in Anaheim, California. He's
was the final member to complete the line-up of Dog n Butterfly. His versatility and ability to play so
many diverse instruments makes him perfect for adding the extra musical embellishments that complete the
band's sound.
